Commonwealth x NPR Tiny Desk at ComplexCon

What started as only a merch partnership idea, last week local, award winning specialty boutique of 15+ years, Commonweath announced their most recent collaboration with Washington DCs’ NPR Tiny Desk Concerts. Recreating an interactive set of the infamous Tiny Desk, their booth was the most talked about space at ComplexCon in Long Beach California. “This Tiny Desk x Commonwealth collaboration was a long time coming” says, Bobby Carter, Tiny Desk’s series producer. Their partnership Capsule Collection includes a Hoodie, 3 Tees, flat brim strap back hat, beanie, blanket and DJ slip mats. Merchandise aside, the set’s shelves are packed with records, NPR memorabilia, and upon a closer look, you’re able to spot Commonwealth easter eggs, old and new - a purple cap with the previous signature ribbon C logo, a 2017 Pizzanista pizza box, a rare sighting of the 2015 Commonwealth ‘Da Vinci’ ASICS Gel-Lyte V, the 2019 Vans Vault collaboration slip ons and even a teaser pair of an upcoming shoe collaboration.

Using their platforms in alliance they successfully brought awareness of local VA / DC talent and creatives to the worlds most influential brands at ComplexCon. If you missed out copping capsule pieces in person, the collection will soon be available to the public for purchase. Be on the lookout.
